Senior Citizens
Our senior citizens meet monthly and usually start their meetings at 6:00 pm. Our meetings are composed of potluck dinners, going out to eat at different restaurants, and an occasional dinner provided by sponsors. Fun & fellowship are enjoyed by all!
Junior Discovery
Wednesday nights from 7:00 – 8:15 Bethany offers Junior Discovery for children 2 years old through the 6th grade. We have Bible Study, memory work, games and music. Twice a year we present a musical where all the children participate and use their talents for the Lord. We welcome and encourage all children to join us and learn more about God and how we are to live for Him.
Ruth Circle
The Ruth Circle is a dedicated group of ladies who serve Bethany Missionary Church in many areas. We meet every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm for Bible Study and the first Monday night of each month for a time of fellowship or visitation. We are prayer warriors! We have a fervent desire to serve in our Church. Among our areas of service, we provide meals to sick and bereaved families and other areas of need as they arise. We send monthly support to missionaries, quarterly support to the National ABA Ladies Bible and Tract Fund and our own church's missions. During the year, we have a Valentine Banquet; sponsor a Mother’s Day celebration; Graduate’s Sunday and the Annual Thanksgiving Senior Citizens Appreciation Dinner.
Lydia Circle
The Lydia circle meets each Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. Ages vary from young mothers to grandmothers. We provide meals for the sick in our church and also for the bereaved. We sponsor a Mother/Daughter banquet each Mother’s Day. We also sponsor the Church–wide Christmas fellowship. We are here to serve our church in any way we can to help further the cause of Christ. We study the Bible in an effort to apply God’s Word in our daily lives, and strengthen our relationship with God. Come and join us in praising our Lord and Savior.
Men's Brotherhood
The Men’s Brotherhood meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00 to 7:40. We take prayer requests for the week and also discuss some business of the church or the group. We then have a devotional given by a volunteer from the group. The Brotherhood helps with donations to widows or other causes within the church. We have a prayer breakfast on Saturday mornings, usually once a quarter. The Men’s Brotherhood is open to all adult males in the church. All are encouraged to attend. Visitors are welcomed.
Faith Bible Institute
Faith Bible Institute (FBI) is a through–the–Bible course for every Christian. Students may study chronologically through the ENTIRE BIBLE systematically through every major doctrine. Basic classes meet one evening per week. Over 15,000 laypersons and pastors have enrolled in FBI. FBI combines solid verse by verse Bible teaching with an interactive video format utilizing student workbooks, transparencies, charts, maps and visuals to produce a life changing learning experience. The 3 year course is divided into 6 semesters of 17–19 weeks each ( plus optional electives). Live classes are filmed at FBI’s central location ( Rowland Road Baptist Church, Monroe, La) and are viewed world–wide by video tape at Extension, Satellite and International Schools.
